Online Therapy for Expats

Support for Life Between Cultures

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for expats and internationally mobile professionals.

Living abroad can be deeply rewarding, but it can also bring unexpected emotional challenges. Adjusting to a new culture, building relationships, or navigating questions of identity can sometimes leave you feeling disconnected or overwhelmed.

As a psychologist and therapist specialising in online therapy for expats and culturally diverse internationals, I provide a supportive space where you can explore these experiences with clarity and care.

Together, we work to strengthen emotional balance, develop practical coping tools, and help you feel more grounded, wherever in the world you are living.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

What CBT Is

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

In our work together, we explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop strategies that help you respond to challenges in healthier ways.

CBT is practical and structured. It focuses on building skills that you can apply in your daily life so you feel more balanced, confident, and emotionally grounded.

How CBT Can Help You

Through therapy, many clients begin to:

• Feel more grounded and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
• Clarify their identity while living between cultures.
• Reconnect with themselves and build meaningful relationships.
• Manage stress, anxiety, and overthinking more effectively.
• Build resilience during periods of transition or cultural adjustment.
• Develop self-compassion and healthier emotional habits.

My Approach

I view CBT as more than a set of techniques. My approach integrates evidence-based therapy with cultural awareness and whole-person well-being.

For expats and multicultural individuals, emotional challenges are often connected to lifestyle changes, identity questions, and cultural transitions.

In our work together, we may explore:

  • routines, sleep, and movement that support emotional stability

  • self-care practices that strengthen resilience

  • emotional processing around identity, belonging, and life transitions

  • cultural influences that shape how you experience stress and relationships

The goal is not only to reduce immediate distress, but also to help you build long-term emotional balance and resilience.

What to Expect in Sessions

First session:

In the first session, we focus on understanding your experiences and the challenges you are currently facing.
This is a space where you can talk openly while we begin identifying patterns and possible areas for change.
Together, we outline goals and explore practical strategies that can help you feel more grounded

Ongoing sessions:

In ongoing sessions, we work with CBT tools to address emotional patterns, stress, identity challenges, and adjustment to life abroad.
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs, combining structured exercises with reflection and conversation.
All sessions take place online, offering flexibility wherever you are in the world.
Therapy is available in English and German.

Your Growth Journey

Therapy provides space to pause, reflect, and understand your experiences more deeply.
Over time, many clients find that they develop stronger emotional awareness, healthier coping strategies, and a clearer sense of identity across cultures.
These tools can help you navigate transitions more confidently and build a life abroad that feels meaningful and balanced
